ALBIE FINESTONE

Albie Finestone, 77, of Merrick, NY, passed away on January 11, 2024. Born on January 8, 1947, in Nusco, Italy, Albie was the patriarch of the family. He leaves behind years of memories that have turned into a legacy of family stories.

Albie is survived by his wife, Marcy, his two sons, Darren and Justin, and his oldest daughter, Shari. He also leaves behind his 5 grandchildren, Alec, Joslin, Vincent, Brooks, and Sloane. Albie is preceded in death by his father, Giovanni, and mother, Gussepina, as well as his sister, Carmela, and brother, Amato.

Albie came to this country as youngster from Italy.  He had a successful career as a business owner. Owning many concrete and construction companies throughout his lifetime.  He was also very involved in the boxing community, having been a one-time Golden Glove Champion himself.

In his free time, Albie enjoyed cooking and was known for being a fantastic cook. He also had a passion for boxing and playing softball. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the casino and gambling.

A memorial service to celebrate Albie's life will be held on Sunday, January 21st, from 1-3 pm at Macken Mortuary, located at 52 Clinton Avenue in Rockville Centre.
