In loving memory of Barbara, Michelle Sussewell, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 17th, 2024. She was born on May 25th, 1963, in East Meadow, New York, to the late Marvin Wil-liams and Barbara Jean Sussewell.

Barbara completed high school on an army base in Anchorage, Alaska after which she moved back to New York and attended Plaza College. She obtained her Home Health Aid certification and continued her edu-cation, receiving her Certified Nursing Assistant license. Barbara then started a career at Parkside Nursing home In Hempstead, Long Island (New York). She was passionate about her work and found great joy in helping others, but due to a debilitating car accident in 1991, her career was cut short forcing her to retire at an early age of 27.

Barbara didn't let disability or retirement get in the way of her being of service to others. Her love of children along with her new time availability allowed her to provide foster care to as many as 13 children (not all at one time,) while raising her own 5 children. After leaving the foster care agency, she adopted our third sister; we are now the Fabulous Six.

Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to the care and development of children led her to opening "Nanny's Kiddie's Castle In 1999 with her first grandchild and expanded services to include 9 more daycare children.

Barbara is predeceased by her first husband Coleman Peterson. She is survived by her first love Leroy Grant, father of four children; the Clyde to her Bonnie, James Glover, father of one child; her 6 children, Marshall (Moreen), Camille (Eric), Latosha (Damien), Patricia (Ted), Shanell (late Leroy Reynolds), and Christopher; only sister, Anthere Lynette (Williams) Motayne, and her 2 niece's (Tyshea and Jahshanae).

Barbara loved all her 11 grandchildren. Tajhir, Chyna, Tori, Marshall Jr., Journey, Davere, SonnieAaron, Deiyon, Ralilah, Morgan, Madalynn and was completely blessed by seeing her great-grandchildren, Tajhir Jr., Indya, and Neriyah, and her great-niece Taniyah.

She also leaves behind her only aunt, Jonnylee and a host of cousins, extended family and best friends. Her love and light will be missed.
