Tara T. Carroll, a woman whose life was defined by her generous heart and unwavering dedication to others, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at the age of 46.
Born on January 24, 1979, in Levittown, NY, to Gail Carroll (Holmes) and the late Denis Carroll, Tara was a proud 1998 graduate of MacArthur High School. She spent much of her life giving back to the community that raised her. Her impact on the Island Trees School District was profound; through her roles in the PTA, PTSA, SEPTA, and the PTA Council, Tara was a fierce advocate for every student. She acted as a bridge between parents and school leadership, ensuring that academic and extracurricular programs were not just funded, but thriving. Whether it was organizing a fundraiser or cheering from the sidelines of a local athletic game, Tara was the first to ask, “What can I do?”
Beyond her community work, Tara was a woman of simple, deep passions. She found peace by the ocean, joy in music, and her greatest happiness in the company of her family and friends. Above all else, the center of her universe was her daughter, Caydence Jean. Tara’s legacy of kindness and "can-do" spirit lives on most vibrantly through her.
Tara is survived by her beloved daughter, Caydence Sinrilus; her mother, Gail Carroll (Holmes); her brothers, Robert (Erica) Carroll and Steven (Erin) Carroll; and her sisters, Erin (Ricardo) Vacchio and Shannon Carroll. She was a devoted aunt to Jacklyn, Christopher, Gavin, Chase, Shea, Jenna, and Savannah. Tara now joins her father, Denis Carroll, in eternal rest.
We will celebrate Tara’s happy spirit exactly the way she wanted: with laughter, funny stories, and the warmth of being together.
